READ: Gruesome Murder as Woman Kills and Cooks Boyfriend in Ermelo

ERMELO, Mpumalanga — Authorities have arrested 33-year-old Ntombehle Precious Mthethwa in connection with the stabbing death and dismemberment of her 37-year-old boyfriend, Sibusiso Maseko, after a domestic argument escalated fatally.

The incident took place on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at a residence in Wesselton Extension 2, Ermelo. Police investigations indicate that the altercation began when Mthethwa confronted Maseko about his association with friends she accused of being criminals. Mthethwa allegedly stabbed Maseko with a knife during the dispute and then dismembered his body by severing his arms and legs.

Mthethwa confessed the act to her sister, Thembisile Mthethwa, who promptly notified the police. Responding officers discovered dismembered body parts at the scene: some placed in a maize meal bag and a plastic bag inside the bathroom, while others, including the torso, were found outside the house, with certain parts showing signs of partial burning. The knife used in the stabbing has not been located.

Mthethwa faces charges of murder and defeating the ends of justice. She made her initial appearance in the Ermelo Magistrates Court on Thursday, August 14, 2025, with the case postponed to August 20, 2025, to allow for further inquiries.

Maseko's family remains in deep shock over the loss. Relatives described him as a peaceful man who had recently recovered from drug addiction and was focused on turning his life around. Maseko had introduced Mthethwa to his family not long before the incident, and they had no prior indication of any violent tendencies.

Mpumalanga police spokesperson Brigadier Donald Mdhluli provided updates on the case, confirming the arrest and ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crime. The Ermelo community continues to grapple with the horrific details as authorities work to ensure justice is served.
