BRITSTOWN, South Africa — An Intercity bus carrying 42 passengers overturned on the N12 highway between Britstown and Victoria West early Thursday morning, resulting in four fatalities and 38 injuries.

The accident occurred around 05:20 on July 31, 2025, when the driver lost control of the vehicle near a bridge, causing it to overturn. The bus was traveling from Johannesburg at the time of the incident.
