READ: Three Suspects Arrested in Verwoerdpark Attempted Murder Case

Alberton, May 14, 2025 – Three suspects have been arrested in connection with an attempted murder in Verwoerdpark, Alberton. The victim, a young man, was brutally attacked and assaulted with a panga, sustaining serious injuries. He is currently receiving treatment at Alberton Hospital.

A tactical team, acting on information received, tracked down the suspects across three locations. Three of the four suspects were apprehended and are now detained at Alberton SAPS. One suspect remains at large.

The operation was supported by members of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD).
