READ: Armed Robbery in Earlsfield, Newlands West May 15, 2025

At approximately 06:26 on May 15, 2025, an armed robbery occurred in the Earlsfield area of Newlands West. According to reports, the victim was opening his garage door when a white VW Polo, with an unknown registration, stopped beside him. Two armed male suspects exited the vehicle and stole the victim’s cellphone before fleeing toward Sparfield.

KZN VIP Control Centre dispatched response officers to the scene. Upon arrival, officers interviewed the victim and conducted a search of the area but could not locate the suspect vehicle. KZN VIP Medical & Rescue performed a courtesy assessment on the victim.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) was notified, and the incident was logged under reference I/R 558726.
