READ: Fatal Collision on P415 Near Mandeni Claims One Life, Injures Six

Mandeni, KwaZulu-Natal – On Sunday evening, May 11, 2025, a tragic collision between a light motor vehicle and a taxi on the P415 near Mandeni resulted in one fatality and six injuries, according to IPSS Medical Rescue.

The incident occurred at an unspecified time, prompting a swift response from emergency services. The front passenger of the light motor vehicle sustained severe traumatic injuries and was found entrapped within the wreckage. IPSS Medical Rescue Advanced Life Support Paramedics provided care while the Mandeni Fire Department worked to extricate her. Despite these efforts, her condition deteriorated shortly after extrication, and she was declared deceased at the scene.

Six other individuals involved in the collision sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious. All were transported to various medical facilities for further treatment. Details regarding the cause of the collision or the condition of the vehicles remain under investigation.
